For group dental insurance, Healthmark Benefits offers a broad range of group insurance dental plans. These plans are usually offered through an employer and may be a voluntary benefit or an employer paid benefit. We offer three different types of plans to employers.

1. Indemnity Dental Insurance Plans

2. Dental Preferred Organization Insurance Plans (DPO)

3. Dental Maintenance Organization Insurance Plans (DMO)

Indemnity plans allow you to go to any dentist of your choice and benefits are usually paid as a percentage of the type of service received. For example, preventative services such as routine cleanings could be paid at 100% coverage with basic restorative services such as fillings paid at 80% or 100% depending on the plan selected. Major restorative services are usually covered at 50% of usual, reasonable and customary charges. A Dental Preferred Organization (DPO) works the same way as a PPO medical plan where the employee and or dependents receive increased benefits if they go to a contracted dentist in the network. A Dental Maintenance Organization (DMO) plan generally requires you to use the contracted dentists and optometrists in the network in exchange for lower dental insurance premiums.

For individual dental insurance, Healthmark Benefits provides you with affordable dental insurance, choices and options. By clicking on get a free quote in the dental insurance section, Healthmark Benefits links you to Beta Health Plans where you can enroll online in your choice of two discounted fee for service plans. These two plans (Alpha and Choice) require you to use a participating dentist in the network. In exchange for using the contracted dentist, you receive unlimited coverage and significantly discounted fees. Braces and cosmetic dental services can be obtained through these two different discounted service plans.

When looking for optical insurance, a vision plan and vision insurance can be purchased for regular office visits, glasses, lasik and laser PRK surgery, contacts and to include eye surgery. Vision plans usually have co-pays for exams, lenses, frames and contacts. Most optometrists contract with vision service providers.
